AT LOVE MY MAT WE WANT TO HELP YOU GO PLASTIC FREE!

We wanted to come up with an Upcycled DIY Project that will help you on your low waste journey. This project will help you stay plastic free in the future AND will reuse an item you probably have sitting in a cupboard that you aren’t using anyways…win-win, right?

I am going to show you how to transform an old kitchen towel into 2 reusable bulk/produce bags!

In the pattern below, you'll find the instructions to need to make your own reusable bags with a tie closure. We use these bags on our Buckwheat Hull Refills that are available on the website. And I also personally use them when I go to the bulk store.

If you have a Bulk Barn in your town, see if they offer 15% off on Sundays when you bring in your own containers. They will weigh your bags or containers first, then you can fill them with whatever snack or baking ingredients you need. Take them back to the counter to pay and you'll save 15% for being sustainable.

Now that's a win-win, too! Saving the environment while saving money.
